A new Transgender online resource and clinic is now available to anyone who wants to find out the answer to their gender identity. Gendercare Gender Clinic is a one-of-its-kind resource center on the Web that exclusively deals with helping people to evaluate their gender-related issues and problems.
As a transgender myself, I was particularly impressed with the technique of diagnosis, which is based on evaluation, and determines and analyzes the specific gender issue(s) that is/are acting as conflict-point(s) between the individual body requirements and the social expectations.
EVALUATION
Depending on your individual preference, the evaluation could be Complete or Simplified. For a fulsome body change, complete evaluation is recommended, while mild changes in the body can be treated with simplified evaluation. I decided on the latter one, but soon realized that my requirements can be met only with a complete body change. So, I switched to complete evaluation and treatment recommendation.
As a first step, I was made to undergo an email consultation, or ‘Anamnesis’ consultation. I was asked to explain in details about myself, a bit about my life and lifestyle. Mere the idea of opening up to my gender preferences made me feel comfortable about the whole process. Basically, the whole idea of this email consultation is to get familiarized with the subject before proceeding with the diagnosis and treatment recommendation.
The next step was the online Unexpected Identity Test. Depending on the individual; it could be MFX for MtFs (Male to Females) or FMX for FtMs (Female to Males) test. These 100% scientific tests are developed by Dr.Torres, M.Sc., Ph.D. and Prof. Pedro Jurberg, Ph.D., neurobiologist from Fundação Oswaldo Cruz, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, who have based their study on the brain-aspect for gender preferences.
Since I opted for complete evaluation, I was made to undergo a further final step called MMPI for psychoanalytic screening.
POST-EVALUATION
The best part of this evaluation process was the complete freedom and rights I enjoyed after the evaluation was over. Though I could opt for a simplified evaluation and treatment, I decided on complete makeover with their TransPack, which comprises an inexpensive a pack of supervision and counseling for hormone therapy (HRT) and transition. This enabled the expert guidance and supervision of Dr. Torres during surgery and my hospitalization. The doctor made sure that the procedures were carried out in pursuance of the results thrown by the scientific tests I undertook with Gendercare Gender Clinic.
CONCLUSION
I could hardly find a fault with the entire evaluation process of the Gendercare Gender Clinic, which was 100% scientific. The cost of $150 for MFX and FMX tests could be prohibitive for people with limited means. However, I’d give my thumbs-up to the clinic, and would give 8.5 out of 10 as overall satisfaction ratings as a customer.
